*Volupté & Utopie* takes the 1960s as its starting point—a decade of upheaval in which, on both sides of the English Channel, France’s “Yéyé” and Britain’s “Swinging London” crystallized a shared cultural heritage. Driven by shared dynamics—decolonization, African American culture, and the emergence of youth as a political force—these two movements reshaped the ways in which the body, space, and desire were experienced. The project unfolds across four zones within the Eurostar terminal, each centered around a manifesto-object: the utopia of all-plastic design, the revolution in body postures, the liberation of social mores, and the rise of community life.
