The project takes as its starting point the act of eating—a foundational moment rooted in the tradition of French dining and in the Sunday family ritual, where the casserole takes center stage on the table. This object, seemingly simple and functional, carries a strong symbolic dimension: it embodies sharing, conviviality, and the passing down of traditions across generations. Crafted from raw cast iron on the outside, the casserole pot affirms its connection to the material and its vernacular heritage, while its enameled interior ensures contemporary usability. Directly inspired by the cauldron—the casserole pot’s ancestor—it rekindles the collective imagination associated with fire, gathering, and shared cooking.
