Cold Collision

Continuing the reflection developed in my thesis on Walter Benjamin’s concept of the loss of aura, this manifesto project rejects the simulacra of industrial perfection. In response to the dehumanisation of wood through its standardisation into anonymous timber battens, I propose a radical revaluation of the raw log, preserved with its living bark intact.

The project orchestrates a visual collision between two worlds: a structure of orange tubular steel, evoking control and mechanical order, encloses and tames this unpredictable organic fragment.

This reproducible connection system gives physical form to the concept of a differentiated series.
