We invite you to revisit these customs, when a meal was a ceremony and rules governed every gesture.
We therefore present a table setting as a work of art—a staging that brings to life our selection of five rules of etiquette.
Set the table!
-
Set the table properly!
-
Put your hands on the table!
-
Wait until everyone has been served!
-
Eat your soup neatly!
Our project sculpts the invisible essence of these ancestral gestures: hands must rest properly, and cutlery must follow the engraved order. Like fossils, without words, these rules are frozen into the table. What was once passed down orally becomes tangible matter.
Table etiquette finds its embodiment here and suspends time.
