My project stems from a reflection on lace as a cultural heritage object and explores what we choose to pass on today, as well as the forms this transmission can take. Historically linked to ornamentation, artisanal craftsmanship, and social status, lace is defined by a network of intertwined threads forming an openwork structure. Through an analysis of traditional and then more contemporary references, I have focused on its transition from a decorative motif to a three-dimensional form.
Using a 3D printing pen as a creative tool, I reinterpret the techniques of lace-making in a contemporary style. This approach allows me to preserve an artisanal dimension while exploring new structural possibilities.
