School furniture quietly influences the way students learn, move around, interact, and experience school life. Yet much of today’s school furniture is still based on standardized models inherited from a lecture-based teaching approach.
This project proposes to reinterpret the archetypes of school furniture through an adaptable system designed for contemporary schools. Seating of various sizes, shared structures, controlled mobility, and shared storage spaces come together to form a micro-infrastructure capable of supporting a variety of postures, uses, and instructional configurations.
