Confronted with climate change and the overproduction of industrial materials, new sustainable initiatives are emerging.
This dissertation focuses on beeswax as a natural and renewable material in interior architecture and design. Through experimental research, it examines this material's possibilities to be transformed, shaped and used, used alone and then combined with other bio-based resources. This progressive approach highlights the potential but also the limitations of a bio-derived material.
Between exploration and reflection on the ways we produce and consume, this research offers a perceptive look at beeswax and opens up ways to rethink how we design objects and spaces.
