Thermal centers have a long tradition of using water and natural elements to heal and relax. Water plays a fundamental role in stimulating the senses through its sound, temperature, texture, reflections and scent, creating a natural multisensory experience. This thesis aims to explore and understand how architecture can be designed to engage and enhance multisensory experiences. This essay reflects my sensations and thoughts on the awakening of the five senses through visits and various case studies, exploring diverse cultures and architectures. These include geothermal sites in Iceland, historic baths in Budapest, and the innovative designs of QC Terme Spas and Resorts.
