In the heart of Paris, La Chapelle Saint Lazare is a space dedicated to exploring ceramics. Its ambition is to promote craftsmanship by sharing skills and expertise with the public, while offering personalised support for more advanced creations. This project spans two spaces: an abandoned chapel and an adjacent renovated building. The project aims to bring the religious building back to life through a symbolic narrative that contrasts the chapel – symbolising divinity and infinity – and earth as a material that connotes humans and their finiteness. Both spaces are inspired by this symbolism. The building houses the workshops, while the chapel, which has been converted into a museum space, invites visitors to contemplate the pieces made in the workshops.
