Ille-sur-Têt is a water town that was. A village that became a town that once shone in the Catalan region, at the time of the Kings of Mallorca. Today, Ille-sur-Têt is dry.
At the heart of this dried-up town is the ancient church of Nostra Senyora de la Rodona, sitting on the town’s ancient ramparts. It was once a beating heart of this place. Now obsolete, this project aims to turn Rodona back into a genuine sensory space in the town.
Symbols scattered through the streets take us along the path of the water, guiding us to the Rodona, a route that ends at a height where a new spring emerges. An arid and hot spectacle, surrounded by the tramontana breeze.
