This project takes shape following a field survey conducted in the Emile Dubois neighbourhood of Aubervilliers (93). This neighbourhood is home to several associations that are essential to the city’s life, but which will lose their premises during the New Urban Renewal Project (NPRU) that is currently under way.
I then asked myself how the community life of Emile Dubois could be preserved during the urban renewal works?
The CASA project is implemented as a new temporary location for these associations during the roll-out of the NPRU. In order to minimise the environmental footprint and become quickly operational, this project is based on the model of reversible housing and is presented in the form of community caravans made from reusable materials, which travel around the neighbourhood.
