The project continues on from my dissertation on the historic site in Jeddah. After a long period of abandonment, the government has undertaken a significant transformation to preserve and promote this heritage.
The creation of a symbolic route through a theoretical framework highlights the rebirth of abandoned buildings. This path illustrates this long passage of time from a state of deterioration to a rebirth.
Behind these ruins, the roots of culture and identity reappear. This evolution is made clear through the installation of various architectural fragments that interpret the symbol of abandonment of its history. The evolution of reconstruction, focused on the cultural history of the place, helps to understand and value its heritage.
