What if we took the time to “do nothing”?
The field of neuroscience shows us that it is vital for our brain to take breaks. Times when we observe ourselves, even in a form of introspection. Paradoxically, our lifestyles are increasingly making us perceive our time as a resource to be made the most of. This manifesto project, which is part of the Festival des Cabanes competition, proposes the idea of a space that plays on the senses of touch and smell, promoting disconnecting as a break in the day-to-day rhythm. Here, we seek to consider the act of “doing nothing” not as the opposite of “doing”, but rather as a physiological activity in its own right, transcribed through a space.
