It is hard to talk about wilderness, so much so that we are being forced to bring nature back into the city, and this is not always done in the right way. Foreign flora is covering more and more ground and taking over from local flora; how, then, can we combat the changes in the landscapes of the Calanques?
The Château Pastré embodies 19th century Neoclassicism with its impeccable symmetry influenced by Romanticism, complete with floral mouldings inside.
Awareness-raising and action will help restore a purpose to the Château Pastré at the core of the architecture. The museum will educate the public and the seed library, alongside the works, will allow local residents to plant endemic trees and flowers in the city.
