In 2030, following several economic, social and ecological crises, the people rose up throughout France. In Paris, the hotel Le Faubourg, a symbol of French luxury, has been ransacked and must be closed. Five years later, the climate has eased and the hotel is reopening its door. The ruins are kept intact in memory of events. The renovations remain minimal in line with Accor’s desire to be carbon neutral.
Nevertheless, an exclusive circle of insider guests find themselves in the hotel within a space hidden away from the world, a witness of past exuberance.
These two worlds coexist, one looking to the future, the other to the past.
Finally, the hotel gets into the groove of a new world, much like the baroque style in Gilles Deleuze's The Fold: Leibniz and the Baroque.
