This dissertation explores the subject of wine tourism in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. A region rich in history and a key centre for wine, it is a place conducive to the new trend for sustainable wine tourism holidays. We will explore the issues, challenges and successes of winemakers through the revitalisation brought about by wine tourism. In order to rise to these new challenges, we offer a solution in the form of a certification. This involves winemakers, local authorities and tourists alike. My approach aims to establish a synergy between these stakeholders in order to promote the harmonious development of wine tourism, and to create a virtuous circle beneficial for all those involved.
