More than simply a choice of materials from different origins, reuse is a mechanism that can enrich our profession on several levels.
In the broadest sense, it means reclaiming material and objects in order to transform and use them for a similar or different function, whether or not it counts as waste.
This practice could enrich the way we design an object, with the constraint of the material, shape or quantity available, but also in our ways of anticipating production, in its structure or aesthetics. It is also an opportunity for contact with the user, an opportunity to influence their relationship to the material and their habitat.
This dissertation explores the avenues of reuse.
