At the back of a cupboard, there is a box collecting dust. A discreet box made from neutral, cream-coloured cardboard, which used to house a pair of shoes. On this box, its owner painted, years ago, a representation of the Titan Mnemosyne by Dante Gabriel Rossetti.
Inside this container are objects, photographs and writings. Each of these artefacts holds the unique power to capture and preserve ephemeral moments, transforming immaterial memories into tangible relics of the past.
Our human thinking, guided by an incessant quest for existence, questions the legitimacy of these boxes in our lives. These objects, witnesses to moments whose sensations fade over time, risk losing their history, walled up in the silence of their box, hiding behind the back of a beautiful Titan.
