Keeping cool in our cities. This is undoubtedly one of the greatest problems facing our societies today. Temperatures are skyrocketing, biodiversity is shaken and reduced in favour of expanding urbanism.
Since the 80s, many landscaping projects have emerged with the goal of greening cities to make them healthier and more breathable. From the first case study of this dissertation, the Renée Dumont green corridor in Paris, to the new concept of the Lausanne green infrastructure currently being developed, I would like to offer you a journey through time to analyse the various answers given to the following question: “Is developing green corridors and green infrastructures in the city an effective response to current climate challenges?”
