Le Sento des Canaux est pens\u00e9 comme un parcours, plus que comme un b\u00e2timent fig\u00e9. C\u2019est une progression physique et mentale, une exp\u00e9rience qui accompagne le visiteur dans un voyage : de l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur vers l\u2019int\u00e9rieur, du sec vers l\u2019humide, de l\u2019agitation vers la lenteur.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

\u00c0 partir des murs existants de la Maison des Canaux, j’ai choisi de transformer les murs porteurs en un syst\u00e8me de colonnes porteuses en bimati\u00e8re. Ce choix structurel me permet de lib\u00e9rer les espaces, d\u2019ouvrir les circulations tout en participant \u00e0 la narration sensorielle de l\u2019ensemble.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Au rez-de-chauss\u00e9e<\/strong>, le projet reste connect\u00e9 \u00e0 la ville, accessible \u00e0 tous, m\u00eame \u00e0 ceux qui n\u2019entreront pas dans le sent\u014d. C\u2019est un lieu de curiosit\u00e9, d\u2019accueil, de premier contact, o\u00f9 l\u2019on peut venir boire un th\u00e9, s\u2019informer, observer, sans engagement.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Des lors que l\u2019on monte l\u2019escalier principale, une s\u00e9paration des sexes se cr\u00e9er, les espaces sont identiques mais s\u00e9pares. Pour que les deux sexes puissent avoir acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la vue sur le Canal, j\u2019ai cr\u00e9\u00e9 un escalier crois\u00e9 pour ainsi intervertir les espaces entres les deux \u00e9tages.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n\n

Au premier \u00e9tage<\/strong>, on entre dans une ambiance plus intime. C\u2019est le lieu o\u00f9 l\u2019on se pr\u00e9pare, o\u00f9 l\u2019on se d\u00e9leste de ses affaires, de ses pens\u00e9es du quotidien, o\u00f9 l\u2019on commence \u00e0 ralentir.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Au deuxi\u00e8me \u00e9tage<\/strong>, on atteint le c\u0153ur de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience : les bains, la lumi\u00e8re naturelle, la vapeur, la chaleur, le silence, et le toit-terrasse qui offre une respiration avant le retour \u00e0 la ville.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n
