Un pavillon de soutien au c\u0153ur de l\u2019h\u00f4pital, con\u00e7u comme un refuge sensible et ouvert. C’est un lieu non-m\u00e9dicalis\u00e9 qui propose \u00e9coute, m\u00e9decines douces et art-th\u00e9rapie pour accompagner autrement le patient dans son parcours de soin.<\/em><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

L\u2019h\u00f4pital priv\u00e9 Saint-Jean, o\u00f9 j\u2019ai men\u00e9 mon enqu\u00eate, est en pleine extension. Un espace ext\u00e9rieur calme, situ\u00e9 \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 du service d\u2019oncologie, serait disponible. Ce contexte m\u2019a permis d\u2019envisager l\u2019implantation concr\u00e8te de mon pavillon dans un site en transformation.<\/em><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Le pavillon s\u2019organise en trois strates gliss\u00e9es, correspondant \u00e0 trois niveaux d\u2019intimit\u00e9. On entre par un espace de recueillement, pens\u00e9 comme un refuge calme et enveloppant. On traverse ensuite un salon-cuisine pour se retrouver et \u00e9changer, avant d\u2019acc\u00e9der \u00e0 une grande terrasse ouverte, propice au partage et \u00e0 la convivialit<\/em>\u00e9<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Le mobilier dessin\u00e9 invite \u00e0 ralentir. Ses formes arrondies et accueillantes instaurent une sensation de calme et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. Il accompagne les gestes simples du quotidien et participe \u00e0 la douceur du lieu.<\/em><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

This quote encapsulates the conclusion I reached in my dissertation on hospital architecture and how it often fails to respond to the human experience of illness.
My project, which originated from my experience at the H\u00f4pital Priv\u00e9 Toulon Hy\u00e8res, involves the creation of a non-medical support pavilion.
It is designed as a sensitive and open haven, hosting practices such as art therapy or relaxation, providing patients and their loved ones with a space to breathe in an often gruelling and exhausting hospital experience.
