L\u2019abbaye de Jumi\u00e8ges fut l\u2019un des plus grands complexes monastiques de Normandie. Malgr\u00e9 les attaques vikings et les guerres, elle fut partiellement restaur\u00e9e au fil des si\u00e8cles. Mais apr\u00e8s la R\u00e9volution fran\u00e7aise, elle fut vendue comme bien national. Les nouveaux propri\u00e9taires, peu scrupuleux, en ont d\u00e9mantel\u00e9 les b\u00e2timents pour en vendre les pierres. C\u2019est cette exploitation qui a d\u00e9finitivement condamn\u00e9 l\u2019abbaye \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tat de ruine. Aujourd\u2019hui, seule une petite partie subsiste (en rouge sur le plan).\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n

The project proposes to reactivate it through an immersive journey and the creation of a museum, restaurant and foyer for artists, offering a sequence ranging from contemplation to encounters.

It is accompanied by an intervention protocol outlining various methods for establishing architecture on a ruin, depending on its condition of deterioration. This method challenges our approach to building within existing structures, balancing structural, symbolic, and spatial considerations.
