Dans la continuit\u00e9 de mon m\u00e9moire, je d\u00e9cide d\u2019approfondir le sujet du souvenir. Je cherche \u00e0 le rendre vivant, \u00e0 le mat\u00e9rialiser. Je choisis un mat\u00e9riau \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re: le sable, li\u00e9 \u00e0 mon enfance et \u00e0 l\u2019imaginaire collectif du sablier. J\u2019explore un liant naturel non issu de la p\u00e9trochimie, s\u00e9chant \u00e0 l\u2019air, pour cr\u00e9er et d\u00e9truire sans polluer.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Je suis \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019un objet qui parle \u00e0 tout le monde, un objet du quotidien, l\u2019objet qui permet d\u2019\u00e9voquer \u00e0 chacun un souvenir personnel, qui rem\u00e9more le pass\u00e9. Je cr\u00e9e un questionnaire dans lequel je demande aux personnes quel est leur objet \u201cProust\u201d. Quel objet symbolise pour elles le pass\u00e9 ? <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Les objets sont trop nombreux, toutes les histoires sont touchantes. Je r\u00e9alise qu\u2019ils racontent chacun une histoire unique, m\u00eame si l\u2019objet reste le m\u00eame. Dois-je en choisir un\u202f? Le redessiner ferait perdre son histoire. C\u2019est intime, personnel. Impossible\u202f: je perdrais l\u2019essence de mon projet, alors je poursuis les \u00e9chantillons.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Je r\u00e9alise qu\u2019il me manque le param\u00e8tre du temps. La mati\u00e8re rend l\u2019intangible visible, le liant \u00e9voque l\u2019\u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re, mais le temps qui alt\u00e8re nos souvenirs reste insaisissable. La m\u00e9moire d\u00e9cro\u00eet si elle n\u2019est pas entretenue. Pour mat\u00e9rialiser le temps, je choisis le cuivre, qui s\u2019oxyde lentement et rend ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne visible.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Mes \u00e9chantillons restent fragiles, friables, les moulures cassent. Je modifie les dosages, les teste, sans garantie. Pour solidifier, j\u2019int\u00e8gre le cuivre sous toutes ses formes\u202f: plaques, c\u00e2bles, poudre, fil. Chaque pi\u00e8ce reste unique, car je ne peux rien ma\u00eetriser. La colle est exigeante\u202f: humidit\u00e9, chaleur, tout influence le r\u00e9sultat.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

Ne trouvant pas d\u2019objet universel, je m\u2019oriente vers un objet manifeste. La bougie, symbole commun \u00e0 toutes les cultures, accompagne nos moments forts. J\u2019imagine un bougeoir fait de fragments de corniche. Deux chandelles, pos\u00e9es sur une plaque en sable, se consument \u00e0 un rythme diff\u00e9rent, traduisant l\u2019\u00e9volution vivante du souvenir.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n\n

I wonder if you can really \"own\" a memory? What remains once the object is no more? In my project, the material reflects the impossibility of freezing memory, embodying it through the experience of time. In my research process, I explore the link between objects and individual memory, attempting to translate and materialise the notion that a memory is both precious and intangible.
Through a tangible object, this project enables me to forge a connection between our environment, time, our memories and our souvenirs.
