Unfolding, pitching, pulling and raising – these are the essential steps in transforming a space into a refuge for the night. Every tent is the starting point for a unique adventure.

This dissertation is primarily an exploration of the tent: an object that brings me back to childhood memories, to the world of hiking and protecting against disasters.

The aim of my research will be to understand how the tent, a multifunctional and nomadic object, is evolving to meet contemporary challenges, both in its extreme and symbolic uses and in its technological and ecological innovations.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Quand on met la tente, c’;est aussi un moment qu’on n’aime pas parce que quand tu rentres dans la tente, tu sais que tu recules. C’est plus facile de rester motiv\u00e9 en marchant et en reculant \u00e0 cause de la d\u00e9rive que de dormir et de reculer<\/p>
