In a world where a sedentary lifestyle continues to be the norm, this work questions the nomadic habitat and mobility as social, identity and material experiences. Through the stories of Zina and Julie, two women travellers, paths often described as non-conformist appear, which ask the question: what place does non-conformism have in a society attached to a sedentary lifestyle?

Rather than studying a community as a fixed object, the approach focuses on the palpable gestures, measures and uses of living in one on the move, revealing forms of creativity, adaptability and resistance.
