This dissertation, \u201cTo dwell in uncertainty\u201d, looks at housing in contact with seawater, in particular coastal floating housing. It asks questions about how seawater and architecture can become partners, rather than opposing each other. A series of interviews supports this research, which is based on historical data, and references to contemporary projects and technical data. It involves understanding what water imposes, analysing the paradox between anchoring and instability and linking these issues to lived experience. This is how the idea of stability emerges, no longer being synonymous with immobility: movement management shifts the concept of \u201cbeing at home\u201d and the question of living together.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n
