From the Garden of Eden to greenhouses in space, redesigning the connection between man and nature

\u201cThe world is not that which man finds before him, but what he shapes to live in,\u201d says Hannah Arendt.
Humanity has always shaped spaces to welcome, preserve or enhance living things. The greenhouse occupies a unique place among these architectures of care and control. With a fragile structure, a fine border between the inside and the outside, the greenhouse tells a continuous story, that of our perpetual desire to extend life by extracting it from its environment. This dissertation will therefore focus on deciphering the paradox rooted in the history of humanity and its deep connection with nature.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n
