Material is a central link in the creative professions, its choice is fundamental. One material is compelling in the field of interior design and architecture, at a time when overproduction and overconsumption are shaping our societies: waste. By considering offcuts, scrap or even a fragment as waste material, but which still has many qualities, in this instance it means exploring repurposing as a principle of creation. In having a look at contemporary art, from the ready-mades by Marcel Duchamp to the artists in Arte Povera, repurposing appears to be a socially conscious act that is able to transform waste into a meaningful object.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n
