This dissertation questions the role of the imaginary in exploring and understanding the seabed. Inaccessible for a long time, the ocean was first built through narratives, images and perceptible experiences before being explored from a scientific perspective. At the crossroads of science and narration, this work takes the form of a hybrid narrative combining fiction, travel notebook and critical reflection. Organised as a gradual dive, it explores different media such as speech, photography, film, technique and body that shape our relationship with the invisible. Remembrance advocates the idea that imagination precedes discovery, nurtures knowledge and engages responsibility: to convey, amaze and protect the marine world.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Elle est une fille de l\u2019eau. Depuis toujours, la mer est son refuge, son horizon. Derri\u00e8re l\u2019\u00e9clat de la surface demeure un myst\u00e8re immense, un appel silencieux auquel elle ne peut r\u00e9sister. Un soir, elle rencontre un vieux marin et commence alors une travers\u00e9e o\u00f9 le r\u00e9el et l\u2019imagination se m\u00ealent. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Sous la surface, elle d\u00e9couvre d\u2019autres voix, d\u2019autres regards : ceux qui ont os\u00e9 r\u00eaver l\u2019oc\u00e9an avant de l\u2019explorer. La mer devient une odyss\u00e9e int\u00e9rieure.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Et au fond, n\u2019est-ce pas l\u2019imagination qui guide toute exploration, fa\u00e7onnant nos d\u00e9couvertes et peut-\u00eatre notre avenir ?<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n
