It all starts with an Aboriginal saying, you have to touch the earth lightly. With natural materials, wood, leaves and ropes, their habitat is light, leaving no foundations or traces. Aware of an environment they cannot control, and humble about a land they don’t want to damage, these nomads disappear. However, these modest dwellings have contemporary resonance. Although primitive, they are a silent trial for our intense constructions. This dissertation focuses on ephemeral architecture, which does not last and does not claim to last. Questioning an architect’s desire to exist through their buildings and of a Nation to transcend the ages through its monuments. Lightly touching the earth means leaving as little trace as possible on earth that is overworked and a history that is overloaded.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Puisqu\u2019elle n\u2019est pas amen\u00e9e \u00e0 durer et \u00e0 \u00eatre v\u00e9cue, cette architecture cherche donc \u00e0 se faire oublier. Pouvant devenir un vague souvenir. En d\u00e9coulerait une rupture m\u00e9morielle. Bousculer cette continuit\u00e9 que recherche l\u2019histoire et qu\u2019elle vient, entre autres, puiser dans le p\u00e9renne.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Faire trop<\/em> appel \u00e0 l\u2019histoire c\u2019est parfois se tourner vers un temps r\u00e9volu et d\u00e9connect\u00e9. Ouvrons nos livres d\u2019histoire et nos carnets de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences, seulement un temps. Mais n\u2019h\u00e9sitons pas \u00e0 les refermer. Si dans sa gen\u00e8se l\u2019\u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re compl\u00e9tait le p\u00e9renne, il s\u2019agirait d\u00e9sormais de le guider.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

C\u2019est aussi, dans une soci\u00e9t\u00e9 o\u00f9 tout fait traces, tout fait m\u00e9moire, chercher paradoxalement \u00e0 oublier. Cette architecture refuserait d\u2019imposer car consciente qu\u2019elle ne peut suivre toutes les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations et ses usages, en constante \u00e9volution.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n
