This research work is based on a simple observation: the paradigm shift in project practices in design and interior architecture must occur through a positive and attractive approach, in order to ensure an tempting future for designers, but also for consumers.
Diversion, redeployment and reuse offer a promising narrative and aesthetic opening. In any case, this work seeks to demonstrate this through different examples throughout the history of architecture, design, but also that of art. The latter is often a precursor in this field and is the laboratory for new narrative and aesthetic approaches.
Diversion then becomes a means of narrating passing time, materialising a need for frugality and enhancing a material that was wasted.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Dans le cadre d\u2019un projet r\u00e9sidentiel de r\u00e9novation d\u2019un appartement parisien, l\u2019architecte d’int\u00e9rieur Marion Mailaender utilise des serre joints m\u00e9talliques en guise de garde-corps pour un escalier architectural. Le contraste est assum\u00e9 entre la mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9 de l\u2019escalier, qui exprime une certaine solennit\u00e9, et le garde-corps qui rel\u00e8ve d\u2019une esth\u00e9tique brute et non-d\u00e9finitive, en attente d\u2019\u00eatre remplac\u00e9. Le serre-joint incarne ici l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019un processus en cours, inachev\u00e9. Le principe de Spolia est observ\u00e9 d\u00e8s la fin de l\u2019Antiquit\u00e9 romaine, alors que l\u2019Empire est en guerre en Afrique du Nord et en Asie Mineure. Lorsqu\u2019une ville est conquise, la nouvelle enceinte de la cit\u00e9 est construite \u00e0 partir des ruines de ladite ville, issues des combats de la conqu\u00eate.
