This dissertation traces the passage of a perfume anchored in dedicated rooms, boudoirs, rooms with a wash basin, and dressing tables to a perfume that has become a nomadic object, concentrated in the bottle, then staged by the marketed image. Throughout this journey, a story is written of luxury, bottle design and advertising campaigns that shape olfactory imaginations.
