We believe we can escape reality through the imagination.
What if the imagination needs walls to exist?

From ancient myths to contemporary imaginary worlds, fairy tales and modern fantasy, behind ruined castles, futuristic cities and enchanted forests lies an architecture inherited from reality, which silently bears the traces of a collective memory rooted in our minds.

This dissertation questions the invisible foundations of fictional worlds and reveals the limits and power of our ability to make things up. It questions this unclear border where the imagination frees itself… without ever being able to free itself completely.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n
