The Ateliers m\u00e9caniques of La Seyne-sur-Mer, an emblematic former industrial site, still carry the memory of local labour and craftsmanship. Now abandoned, they become the setting for a project centred on the transmission of knowledge and skills.
The project proposes a sensitive rehabilitation approach, preserving the existing structure while introducing reversible modules. A hybrid community space brings together production workshops, exhibition areas, and spaces dedicated to sharing skills and knowledge.
The aim is to celebrate this industrial heritage while giving the site a renewed, vibrant, and attractive role. Conceived as a sensory journey, the project transforms it into a relational, adaptable space that remains open and connected to its surroundings.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

UN LIEU DE FAIRE<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Le projet s\u2019appuie sur l\u2019identit\u00e9 des anciens Ateliers M\u00e9caniques en r\u00e9interpr\u00e9tant leur vocation premi\u00e8re : un lieu du faire, de la production et de la transmission. Il propose une nouvelle programmation o\u00f9 les savoir-faire deviennent visibles, partag\u00e9s et accessibles \u00e0 tous.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

L\u2019int\u00e9gration d\u2019essences m\u00e9diterran\u00e9ennes accompagne la transformation du site en am\u00e9liorant le confort thermique, la qualit\u00e9 des espaces et la biodiversit\u00e9. Le v\u00e9g\u00e9tal devient un support d\u2019usages, de bien-\u00eatre et d\u2019exp\u00e9rience sensible.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

LA R\u00c9SIDENCE<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

La r\u00e9sidence accueille des artisans locaux dans des ateliers individuels compl\u00e9t\u00e9s par des espaces partag\u00e9s. Cette organisation favorise la transmission des savoir-faire, la mutualisation des ressources et les \u00e9changes entre artisans, habitants, \u00e9tudiants et visiteurs.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Il rassemble artisans, habitants et visiteurs autour d’espaces ouverts, favorisant les rencontres, l’apprentissage, la convivialit\u00e9 et une appropriation quotidienne du site.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n
