My project explores the residential pavilions of the Villa Medici as spaces of transition between architecture, landscape, and memory. Located along the Aurelian Wall, at the heart of the Villa\u2019s gardens, these pavilions designed by Jacques Carlu become the starting point for a reflection on the site\u2019s historical, climatic, and social layers.
Through the notion of passage, whether private, shared, vegetal, or temporal, I explore how artists\u2019 living spaces can open up to their surroundings while preserving the intimacy essential to the creative process. The project seeks to blur rigid boundaries between interior and exterior, using light, air, sunlight, and vegetation as tools for design.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

R\u00c9HABILITATION DES PAVILLONS <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

En janvier 2026, j’ai eu l’opportunit\u00e9 de me rendre \u00e0 Rome, o\u00f9 j’ai rencontr\u00e9 Yannick Le Gal, l’un des architectes paysagistes de la Villa M\u00e9dicis. Cette visite m’a permis de d\u00e9couvrir l’ensemble du domaine, ainsi que les pavillons des pensionnaires, et d’approfondir ma compr\u00e9hension du site.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Le plan se d\u00e9ploie en s\u00e9quences. On entre directement dans l’espace commun modulable, ouvert, traversant avant que des niveaux l\u00e9g\u00e8rement d\u00e9cal\u00e9s ne signalent les transitions.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

LE BELV\u00c9D\u00c8RE<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Les \u00c9trusques, qui occupaient ce plateau bien avant la Villa M\u00e9dicis, construisaient leurs temples selon un principe que je retrouve comme une \u00e9vidence : un socle de pierre ancr\u00e9 dans la terre, et une \u00e9l\u00e9vation en bois, l\u00e9g\u00e8re et d\u00e9montable. Mon belv\u00e9d\u00e8re reprend ce principe un socle en pierre pos\u00e9 sur le sol et une structure en bois.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n
