This project takes Hong Kong\u2019s bamboo scaffolding as its starting point, a practice that is now gradually disappearing. Both a cultural symbol and a marker of identity, this technique embodies a distinctive form of craftsmanship deeply rooted in the city\u2019s history and urban development. Responding directly to this decline, the project reuses bamboo from dismantled scaffolding, making it its primary material. It explores how a craft can endure in a different context and at a different scale. Scaffolding, an ordinary feature of the urban landscape that often goes unnoticed, echoes the way domestic objects become invisible through everyday use.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Une technique artisanale telle que l’\u00e9chafaudage en bambou peut-elle continuer d’exister lorsqu’elle change de fonction ?<\/em><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

S\u00e9rie de prototypes retra\u00e7ant la recherche autour des assemblages en bambou. \u00c0 partir de l’assemblage traditionnel des \u00e9chafaudages de Hong Kong, chaque \u00e9tape explore une simplification et une transformation progressive vers un syst\u00e8me adapt\u00e9 au projet.<\/em>\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n\n

Cette transformation conserve les \u00e9l\u00e9ments qui constituent l’identit\u00e9 de l’\u00e9chafaudage : le bambou r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9 directement sur les chantiers de Hong Kong, les principes d’assemblage adapt\u00e9s \u00e0 une nouvelle \u00e9chelle, ainsi que la corde, le tissu et les rep\u00e8res graphiques caract\u00e9ristiques de cette technique.<\/em><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n
