How can the cultural and ecological heritage of the French Caribbean be revitalised?

ERITAJ EN NOU fosters intergenerational connections through the revival of traditional know-how and the memory of gestures. The project critically reinterprets vernacular practices, including natural dyeing, the use of seeds and traditional adornment, bringing them into a contemporary process of transformation. By using sargassum, symptomatic of a broader global ecological imbalance, as a material for co-creation, the project reconfigures conventional notions of production and value, transforming waste into an active resource.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Les perles sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9es \u00e0 partir d\u2019algues sargasses collect\u00e9es puis fa\u00e7onn\u00e9es \u00e0 la main, associ\u00e9es \u00e0 des graines, haricots, pois et f\u00e8ves principalement issus de la r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration. Ce travail explore la transformation de mati\u00e8res organiques per\u00e7ues comme banales en \u00e9l\u00e9ments pr\u00e9cieux et sensible, en r\u00e9v\u00e9lant leur texture, leur forme et leurs couleurs.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n
