Through research into celebration and nocturnal social life, this project questions the standardisation of Parisian festive restaurants, which have often become highly regulated, controlled and predictable.
The project uses the pool as a spatial device, referencing the tradition of French formal gardens. By freeing the space from the constraints of conventional furniture, it allows for new uses to emerge and creates a more fluid, evolving and unpredictable experience of celebration.
Conceived as a theatrical set and shaped by a reflection on the ephemeral, the project is organised around a demountable timber structure that defines the different spaces within the venue.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Le rez-de-chauss\u00e9e concentre les fonctions principales du restaurant et de la f\u00eate, en int\u00e9grant les espaces techniques et de services.
On retrouve notamment, \u00e0 la sortie du couloir, un acc\u00e8s direct aux espaces de service, au local poubelles, au stockage et aux cuisines.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

L\u2019\u00e9tage accueille lui-aussi un espace de restauration et de f\u00eate, construit notamment autour du vide central.
Il contient aussi des usages compl\u00e9mentaires et plus intimes avec la salle de jeu, l\u2019espace privatisable, la loge des artistes et d’autres encore.

L\u2019entr\u00e9e se fait depuis la rue Mazarine \u00e0 travers une fa\u00e7ade que je peins en monochrome rouge.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Sur cette fa\u00e7ade se retrouve le menu affich\u00e9 qui donne \u00e0 voir ce qu\u2019il se passe \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur en d\u00e9voilant un d\u00eener qui semble se partager autour d\u2019une table commune.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

L\u2019espace se prolonge ensuite par un long couloir, dans lequel on retrouve les photographies d\u2019archives du lieu :
ce lieu \u00e9tant depuis longtemps associ\u00e9 \u00e0 la f\u00eate et \u00e0 la restauration.
Ce couloir agit ainsi comme un seuil :
il permet de quitter progressivement la rue.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

On entre ensuite dans la grande salle principale, organis\u00e9e autour d\u2019un espace sc\u00e9nique central.
On retrouve de part et d\u2019autre, 4 longues tables structurant l\u2019espace.
En me d\u00e9tachant d\u2019un d\u00e9cor folkorisant ou encombrant, mes volumes me permettent d\u2019accueillir d\u2019autres \u00e9v\u00e8nements en journ\u00e9e tel qu\u2019un d\u00e9fil\u00e9.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

le repas s\u2019inspire des grandes sc\u00e8nes de buffet, o\u00f9 le repas \u00e9tait d\u00e9j\u00e0 une forme de spectacle.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Les volumes sont alors napp\u00e9s, l\u2019argenterie est dispos\u00e9e, et les serveurs sont r\u00e9partis autour des diff\u00e9rentes tables.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Chaque chaise est pens\u00e9e comme un \u00e9l\u00e9ment modulable par l’ajout d’un d\u00e9tail de bouton rouge qui permet soit de la d\u00e9tacher pour l\u2019utiliser, soit de la dissimuler dans la continuit\u00e9 du volume.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

LE D\u00ceNER\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n\n

J\u2019ai pens\u00e9 un menu unique organis\u00e9 en cinq actes, comme un r\u00e9cit : l\u2019exposition, l\u2019intrigue, l\u2019abondance, la descente et le d\u00e9nouement.
Le menu change quatre fois par an, en fonction des saisons, afin de s\u2019ancrer dans le rythme des produits et de renouveler l\u2019exp\u00e9rience. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Presque tous les plats sont pens\u00e9s pour \u00eatre partag\u00e9s :
les convives sont invit\u00e9s \u00e0 exp\u00e9rimenter le repas comme un moment de partage.

Jusqu\u2019au moment o\u00f9 les nappes disparaissent, les tables s’adaptent, et banquet bascule vers la f\u00eate.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Les volumes ne sont plus seulement mobilier :
ils deviennent enti\u00e8rement habitables.
Et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un jeu de lumi\u00e8res et \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence des corps, l\u2019espace va donc se transformer progressivement en un v\u00e9ritable lieu de f\u00eate.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Pour acc\u00e9der \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tage, j\u2019ai aussi pens\u00e9 l\u2019escalier comme un espace habitable. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Il devient un lieu de transition, mais aussi un endroit o\u00f9 l\u2019on peut s\u2019\u00e9carter de la f\u00eate.

Il est habill\u00e9 d\u2019un luminaire en forme de lune, \u00e9voquant un \u00e9l\u00e9ment sc\u00e9nique symbolique que mes volumes viennent cadrer et r\u00e9v\u00e9ler.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

\u00c0 l\u2019\u00e9tage, la salle s\u2019organise en balcon autour du vide central.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

La couleur est une r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 mon intention.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

J\u2019ai volontairement choisit des couleurs peu attendues dans l\u2019univers du restaurant festif, justement parce qu\u2019elles d\u00e9stabilisent les rep\u00e8res habituels afin de favoriser une forme de l\u00e2cher-prise.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Comme nous l’apprend le journal de la gen\u00e8se, mon projet prend forme gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me constructif en bois, inspir\u00e9e du langage sc\u00e9nique.
Elle permet la cr\u00e9ation de variations de niveaux et de hauteurs.
