At the beginning of the twentieth century, near a thermal spring, the Grand H\u00f4tel de la Source was built to welcome spa guests seeking rest and care.
Over time, the hotel was altered by successive changes of ownership and eventual abandonment. From this fragile and fragmented memory, the project seeks to reactivate the history of the site, bringing the hotel and its restaurant back to life while introducing a spa that echoes its original purpose.
The intervention creates a new aesthetic for the site, highlighting the contrast between its historic identity and the contemporary rupture introduced by the hotel\u2019s new foundation: the spa.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

La construction de ce b\u00e2timent au d\u00e9but du XXe si\u00e8cle est men\u00e9e pour accueillir des curistes venant s\u00e9journer non loin de la source Salmi\u00e8re et profiter de ses bien-faits reconnus.\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n\n

Le bien-\u00eatre, au c\u0153ur de l’histoire de ce b\u00e2timent, est repens\u00e9 ici comme usage premier au lieu. Ce projet du Grand H\u00f4tel de la Source est alors imagin\u00e9 avec un Spa en sous-\u00e9l\u00e9vation.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Se servir d’un imaginaire cin\u00e9matographique pour apporter une attractivit\u00e9 au lieu et mettre en avant son histoire et son patrimoine.
Partir d’un \u00e9chantillonnage sur place des \u00e9l\u00e9ments \u00e0 conserver (d\u00e9tails de colorim\u00e9trie des chambres…) et le m\u00ealer au concept d\u00e9coratif des films de Wes Anderson.<\/em><\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

L\u2019intervention architecturale permet une esth\u00e9tique nouvelle du lieu qui met en exergue l\u2019histoire de ce site et la rupture contemporaine du nouveau socle de cet h\u00f4tel, celui du spa. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n
