This project stems from my thesis on the relationship between interior architecture, design, and liturgy, developed through the case study of the renovation of the liturgical furniture at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. Following discussions with priests and designers, as well as research into liturgical furniture, I chose to focus on the Saint-Symphorien Chapel in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, whose existing furnishings raised questions about how they might be reinterpreted for contemporary use.

Based on historical research and an analysis of liturgical practices, the project redesigns the main pieces of furniture required for worship within the chapel.
