Can we move away from heavy, permanent urban architecture towards a practice that embraces lightness and ephemerality? Drawing inspiration from lightweight forms of housing, this project proposes a structure that rises above the rooftops of Paris. Designed to accommodate students and young professionals facing an increasingly inaccessible housing market, the project makes use of rooftops as some of the city\u2019s last available surfaces. Experimental in nature, its scaffolding structure and textile envelope follow in the footsteps of the utopian architects of the twentieth century, exploring new possibilities for urban living through an architecture that is light, adaptable, and temporary.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

L’installation se veut politique en parasitant l’haussmannien.\nDans l\u2019histoire de ces b\u00e2timents min\u00e9raux, chaque \u00e9tage appartient \u00e0 une classe. Le RDC, r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux commerces et aux stockages. Les deux premiers \u00e9tages, facilement accessible avec l\u2019escalier est destin\u00e9 \u00e0 la bourgeoisie. Plus on monte, plus la condition sociale devient modeste. Les combles r\u00e9serv\u00e9s aux employ\u00e9s de maison ou jeune adultes.\u00a0\nAinsi, le march\u00e9 de l\u2019immobilier devenue si inaccessible et les offres amoindries, c\u2019est les toits, derniers surfaces exploitables, que nous investissons. \u00c0 la vue de tous, blanc et prenant les reflets du soleil, les parisiens ne pourront \u00e9viter ce probl\u00e8me mit d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re du jour.\u00a0\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n

C\u2019est un projet en 3 temps : s\u2019\u00e9rige la structure d\u2019\u00e9chafaudage. Partant du sol, elle prend appuie \u00e9galement sur les balcons des fen\u00eatres et les corniches. Elle sert de support \u00e0 une structure l\u00e9g\u00e8re, faites de toiles et de tasseaux de bois, qui constitue l\u2019habitat. Puis, se d\u00e9ploie une toile de chantier qui permet de prot\u00e9ger l\u2019ensemble pr\u00e9c\u00e8dent des conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques.\u00a0\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n

Le mobilier, simplement sugg\u00e9r\u00e9, suit cette id\u00e9e de l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 : plateau sur tr\u00e9teaux, assises modulable, mat\u00e9riaux l\u00e9ger, luminaires mobiles…\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n

Les calques sont cette r\u00e9\u00e9criture. Ils sont l\u2019outils premier de l\u2019architecte, l\u2019outil de l\u2019essai, du r\u00e9ajustement de la correction, d\u2019une proposition.\u00a0On peut les effacer, noircir, souligner un d\u00e9tail, ajuster les plans, \u00e0 l\u2019inverse de l\u2019encre fig\u00e9e et irr\u00e9versible d\u2019une imprimante. L\u2019encre est d\u00e9laiss\u00e9\u00a0et sur ce d\u00e9sormais palimpseste, laisse\u00a0place \u00e0 la mine de plomb.\u00a0\n<\/figcaption>\n <\/article>\n\n\n
