In Marrakech, the Menara Garden reflects a historic relationship between water, agriculture, and collective life. Once an agricultural hub supplied by a vast central basin and a traditional irrigation network, the site sustained the fertility of its crops and played an important role in passing down water-related knowledge and practices. Today, this landscape has become a museum-like tourist image: the basin remains, but no longer irrigates the surrounding land. The project therefore questions the role of water in contemporary Moroccan society and seeks to reverse this process: moving from water frozen in contemplation towards a renewed collective and productive practice.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Class\u00e9s au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO, les Jardins de la Menara imposent une contrainte patrimoniale forte. L’intervention doit ainsi r\u00e9pondre sans d\u00e9naturer l’existant, en s’appuyant sur des dispositifs l\u00e9gers et r\u00e9versibles, capables de dialoguer avec le site tout en pr\u00e9servant son int\u00e9grit\u00e9 historique et paysag\u00e8re. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Chaque structure est un syst\u00e8me d\u00e9montable et modulable, inspir\u00e9 des stands de rue et des tentes berb\u00e8res. Elle repose sur un principe constructif local : la brique typique de Marrakech, fa\u00e7onn\u00e9e dans la terre du site. <\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n
