In the past, people gathered around the fire. A place for sharing knowledge, contemplation, and a sense of community, this ritual has gradually faded away in Western Europe, leaving behind rudimentary spaces designed for functionality rather than for gathering.
This project seeks to revive that tradition. The proposal takes the form of a set of instructions that can be replicated in various mountain regions, rooted in a specific site in Morzinette. It outlines a series of charred wooden seats, crafted on-site by users using local materials, which arrange people around the fire so they can see, smell, and warm themselves, but also sing, tell stories, and share experiences.
Here, the furniture serves as a pretext: what we are seeking to design is the ritual itself.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n
