The Ren\u00e9e-Sabran Hospital is organized into separate pavilions, with each building dedicated to a specific function or department. Among them, the dojo stands out for its social purpose: it is a place for gathering, sharing, and fellowship.
Located at the precise junction between the patient care area and the waterfront, it is envisioned as a true \u201cvillage center,\u201d conducive to relaxation.
My intention is to reimagine this dojo based on the model of traditional market halls. The project would incorporate their architectural elements and fluid circulation patterns.
As a result, the space would be open-plan, allowing different functions to interact and naturally extending its uses outward.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Le concept de ce projet repose sur la relation entre la p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie et le centre du b\u00e2timent, en d\u00e9veloppant un fonctionnement \u00e0 la fois centrip\u00e8de et centrifuge. Les diff\u00e9rentes fonctions prennent place dans la couronne p\u00e9riph\u00e9rique et sont con\u00e7ues pour pouvoir se prolonger, vers le c\u0153ur du b\u00e2timent ou vers l’ext\u00e9rieur selon les saisons.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Les espaces ext\u00e9rieurs ont \u00e9t\u00e9 am\u00e9nag\u00e9s de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 recr\u00e9er l’ambiance d’un village, favorisant des lieux de rencontre et de d\u00e9ambulation. La continuit\u00e9 du sol entre les espaces int\u00e9rieurs et ext\u00e9rieurs facilite les d\u00e9placements et renforce l’autonomie des patients de l’h\u00f4pital.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

La toiture a \u00e9t\u00e9 enti\u00e8rement repens\u00e9e afin d’int\u00e9grer davantage de lumi\u00e8re naturelle au c\u0153ur du b\u00e2timent. Cette intervention permet \u00e9galement de r\u00e9v\u00e9ler une charpente \u00e9voquant l’imaginaire des halles traditionnelles.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Le mobilier a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u sur les dimensions d’un fauteuil roulant. Bas\u00e9 sur un module r\u00e9p\u00e9titif, il offre une grande flexibilit\u00e9 d’am\u00e9nagement et permet aux personnes en fauteuil roulant de s’int\u00e9grer naturellement aux diff\u00e9rents usages. Cette conception \u00e9vite de les rel\u00e9guer en p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie des espaces et favorise une v\u00e9ritable inclusion.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Le mobilier a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u pour se ranger de mani\u00e8re optimale, limitant ainsi son encombrement lorsqu’il n’est pas utilis\u00e9. Ce syst\u00e8me de stockage permet de disposer d’une quantit\u00e9 suffisante de mobilier pouvant \u00eatre facilement d\u00e9ploy\u00e9e en fonction des usages.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n
