I am exploring how architecture and design can support social care at Ren\u00e9e-Sabran Hospital. Field observations reveal a lack of welcoming spaces, which exacerbates patients\u2019 isolation. I therefore propose redesigning the dojo to host low-impact cultural activities such as film screenings, exhibitions, discussions, and theater and music workshops.
The goal is not to create a large-scale facility, but rather a simple, adaptable space that offers a non-medical setting for social interaction. In this approach to designing care through connection, the physical environment becomes a medium for communication, relaxation, and collective healing. The gentle, adaptable atmosphere will accommodate each person\u2019s individual pace to reduce loneliness, without imposing a rigid framework.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n
