Since the French gastronomic meal is listed as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, and following my thesis, \u201cThe Whispers of Daily Life: Meals and Home Cooking, Between Representations, Practices, and Habits in the Contemporary Era,\u201d it seemed only natural that I draw inspiration from this world for our shared topic: \u201cThe Heritage Object.\u201d I then turned my attention to an ephemeral element of a meal: the serving bell. I reimagined it so that it would become a permanent symbol of a grand ceremonial tradition that rethinks the gestures surrounding the unveiling of dishes, thereby heightening an entire lexical field centered on surprise and theatricality.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

\u00ab L\u2019objet patrimonial est simplement l\u2019objet gr\u00e2ce auquel une communaut\u00e9 existe. Elle a besoin de lui pour exister, et il a besoin d\u2019elle pour exister en tant que patrimoine. \u00bb<\/p>

Au \u00ab gr\u00e8s \u00bb d\u2019une s\u00e9rie de quatre objets inspir\u00e9s des arts de la table, ce projet explore le r\u00f4le de la cloche de service lors d\u2019une d\u00e9clinaison en quatre temps. Inspir\u00e9 par les \u00e9l\u00e9ments de la nature, il imagine un parcours sensible o\u00f9, chaque geste, r\u00e9v\u00e8le une narration m\u00ealant, attente, mise en sc\u00e8ne, d\u00e9couverte et partage.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n

Le choix du gr\u00e8s, comme mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9 primaire de la collection, vient prendre le contrepied de la l\u00e9g\u00e8ret\u00e9 de la cloche de service originelle, la plupart du temps en m\u00e9tal. Par son poids et sa densit\u00e9, la terre introduit un rapport plus lent au geste et invite \u00e0 prendre le temps.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/article>\n\n

Afin de mener \u00e0 bien ce projet, j’ai int\u00e9gr\u00e9 deux ateliers de c\u00e9ramique. Cette immersion dans la mati\u00e8re m’a permis d’am\u00e9liorer mon processus de cr\u00e9ation sur toute la dur\u00e9e du d\u00e9veloppement du projet : passant de multiples maquettes de recherches \u00e0 la d\u00e9clinaison finale.
