On my grandmother's fertile land in Ben Azzouz, Algeria, where the furrows tell the stories of the past, I imagine a school that serves a cradle for the future. A unique classroom, open to the fields, where children learn as much from the land as they do from books. This project serves as a bridge between generations: it realises my mother's dream of providing education where it was lacking and embodies my desire to reconnect with my roots. The architecture will be modest, vibrant and grounded, interwoven with wood, earth and memory. More than just a building, this is a place of awakening and listening, a free rural school where one can grow in harmony with nature, beside a gentle river that murmurs stories of the land.
