While artistic offerings remains largely concentrated in major cities, many rural areas, rich in underappreciated heritage, are now seeking to reinvent themselves. The Tanlay project, based on the rehabilitation of old stables in the heart of a rural landscape, is part of this dynamic. The site will become a living place, combining cultural spaces - exhibitions, theatre, auditorium - meeting places - restaurant, coworking - and living spaces - housing.
Conceived as a sustainable space for sharing and exchanging knowledge, it seeks to re-establish the connection between culture and rural life. It provides a tangible alternative to the metropolitan cultural focus by asserting that art, sharing, and innovation can also take root and flourish beyond urban areas.
