In the shadow of museums lie forgotten treasures: the archives.
This project aims to revive the heritage of the goldsmiths Henin & Cie, in order to breathe new life into the ancient designs and cherished techniques of the goldsmith, an art that is all too often overlooked.
By creating two table-setting ceremonies — the egg and the water — I am inventing new rituals, gestures that intertwine the past and the present. These hybrid objects challenge conventional uses while celebrating the handing down of valuable expertise.
In a society where everything is speeding up, where creation takes place on an assembly line, ceremonies challenge our relationship with time, with the purpose and value of gesture, inviting us to rediscover beauty in slowness.
