From my dissertation, entitled Points. Lines. Oblongs - Art Deco ornamentation in Bucharest's modernist architecture, my degree project aims to enhance appreciation and raise awareness of the architectural heritage from the interwar period. Through the restoration of a late Art Deco building designed by architect and artist Marcel Iancu, a prominent figure in the history and development of modern Bucharest, my project aims to establish an art centre dedicated to exploring this rich heritage. The arrangement of the space revolves around an immersive journey, guided by graphic elements on the floor and ceiling and lighting, inspired by the formal aesthetics of the style. This journey leads to exhibitions that blend architecture, design and visual arts.
